I always struggled with the number on the scale. I was usually 10-15 pounds heavier compared to peers although they either seemed the same size or bigger but the scale always said I was heavier.
After having three children being 200 pounds each time I always told my husband I wanted to fit in those pre-baby jeans and I didn’t care if I was 100 or 200 pounds, because I felt I couldn’t use the scale as a tool.
In October of 2020 I walked into my chiropractor office just like every other time.
Tia greeted me and before she could even say hello, I asked her where she went! She was glowing!
She told me all about Hitch Fit. I left that office feeling ready, excited to start my Hitch Fit program.
I told my husband all about it, we watched her story on Truth Talks.
I cried because I knew I needed to do something. I was back up to almost 200 pounds and couldn’t blame a pregnancy this time.
Over the years I got anxiety that seemed to have become a weekly sometimes daily occurrence.
I tried everything I could to treat it but it was a short term fix. It was controlling so much of my life. I was surviving off energy drinks and diet soda which wasn’t helping with the anxiety.
Jan of 2021, I finally decided to try it once again on my own.
I joined some friends in a push up challenge, worked out periodically and started to feel better. I got frustrated trying to find workout routines and gave up once again.
October of 2021 something clicked. I finally felt mentally ready to make that jump to Hitch Fit.
I had managed to lose 10 pounds since Jan but knew that wasn’t enough.
I ordered my Hitch Fit online training plan and anxiously waited for Diana’s response.
I spent that weekend preparing and shopping the best I could. I ate the last of the junk food, drank the last energy drink and diet soda to make sure it was all gone before I started Monday morning.
Monday morning came and I had an alarm set early to do my cardio. That was the longest 30 min of my life.
I spent the entire time battling in my head how in the world am I going to do this every day for the rest of my life?
I had failed so many others times, how was this different. I started 3 weeks before Thanksgiving. Seriously what was I thinking?
I had a work event and they catered In and Out burger and wondered how I was going to maneuver this one.
I felt I needed to partake but didn’t want to ruin what I just started. I ate the burger with no bun and light sauce but extra veggies and enjoyed my lunch and didn’t feel guilty because I knew this was the new way of life not just a 12 week program.
The truth is……Not every day was easy. The scale didn’t move at times. The weights were heavy some days.
I looked at my water jug and didn’t want another drop.
These 12 weeks flew by. I don’t want it to be over. I don’t want Diana’s weekly emails to end.
I don’t want the weight to come back so this is my new lifestyle. It was ALL worth every hard day, dreaded workout, tears because the scale or inches weren’t where I expected or I was just plain tired!
The number on the scale now says I’m healthier, muscular and fit! Those pre-baby jeans were boxed up in week 8!
I haven’t been this tiny since way before babies!
